THE DEVIL DOGS vs THE SWINGIN’ NECKBREAKERS [Killer 90’s Garage Punk]

Two garage punk bands, two killer debut slabs. The Devil Dogs were a New York band influenced by 60’s garage rock and 70’s punk of Ramones, DMZ, The Dictators, New york Dolls… This is vinyl rip of their classic ’89 debut lp on Crypt records, a mix of great original tunes as Action, 354, C’mon Little Baby, Gimme That Girl, Brand New Chevy and fine covers of DMZ [Ball Me Out], The Dictators [Stay With Me], Ramones [Babysitter] or Thee Mighty Caesars [Suck The Dog, Pussywhipped].
The Swingin’ Neckbreakers from Trenton, New Jersey, are in the same vein with little more influences from the 60’s garage rock and 50’s r&b, trash and r’n’r and 70’s punk/power pop of The Real Kids, Flamin’ Groovies and 80’s garage revivalists as Lyres. They can best be described as kinda like a cross between The Sonics and Ramones! Their ’93 debut “Live For Buzz” on Telstar records opens with great garage punk stomper “You” followed up with cool covers of Lord Luther’s ’59 r&b “Thinkin’ Man’s Girl” and garage legends The Squires “Same All Over The World”. Other cool tunes are originals “Take Your Life”, “Little Pink Medicine” and “I Live For Buzz” and killer covers of The Kinks “I Took My Baby Home”, Tony Sheridan “Shake It Some More” and The Sonics “Boss Hoss”. I already have posted these slabs before on my old blog but hey!… This is A MUST!
