“Have some gritty rock chop with your pop!”
Two of the very best garage punk albums from the beginning of 21st century. On their 5th and 6th Lp [2002/03], North-West surfers change their style to a harder rockin’ power pop sound influenced by the 60’s acts as Small Faces, The Who, Paul Revere & The Raiders, The Sonics and 70’s bands like Cheap Trick, Elvis Costello or Ramones. Non stop guitars/organ driven rockin’ action with tunes like She Moves Me, Making The Rounds, Dreaming In Stereo, My Love Ain’t Free, Every Girl In Town or r’n’r radio hits as I Am Your Radio, Kill My Telephone, I Wanna Be Your Addiction, He’ll Be Around from “The Set-Up” lp. Already have posted this stuff before but hey… This is A MUST !!!

“Seattle’s Evan Foster just keeps getting BETTER as he goes. 5 BOSS MARTIANS albums down (with another on the way) and he finds time to start a 2nd band dedicated to the late 60’s to supplement all that early-60’s surf & hot rod stuff. WOW! I played this almost NON-STOP for a month after getting it! Hard-driving 60s-style ROCK & ROLL with tons of Hammond Organ work and even some horn sections tossed in for good measure make this an exciting package. And your eyes will be knocked out by the HOT electric PINK they used in the packaging. Anyone who digs Philly’s MONDO TOPLESS absolutely NEEDS a copy of this! A fab cover of the Sam Cooke song “Shake” rounds out a collection of powerful originals. DON’T wait! Get it NOW!”
Hey Hey! Yeah Yeah! A REAL COOL but overlooked transition album for Boss Martians. Here they try new, harder rockin’ sound [which was later fully developed on ”Making The Rounds” and ”The Set-Up”] influenced by 60’s Mod of Small Faces and 70’s power pop/punk sound of Elvis Costello, Cheap Trick, Ramones and MC5. Great stuff: Conspiracy, Trade Publication, He’ll Be Around [later re-recorded for ”The Set-Up”], Shake, Ten Years Time, Some Kids Will Riot, I Believe… Dig!!!
Whoa dad! Here’s wyld bunch of 7″s and various compilation trax from 1992-2007 by your favorite surfin’ Martians. Do the Dig!
Another Surfadelic favorite 90’s Hot Rod/Surfin’/Garage Punk gang, this time from the home of North-West garage, Seattle, Washington. Influenced by legendary sixties groups as The Trashmen, The Sonics, The Wailers, Astronauts, Paul Revere & The Raiders as well as [later in career] with Small Faces, Elvis Costelo, Cheap Trick, MC5, they recorded bunch of singles and Lp’s for Dionysus, Hillsdale, Estrus, Screaming Apple…
Fronted by unbeatable guitar hero Evan Foster, BOSS MARTIANS have gone a longway from retro surfin’/hot rodders to garage punk/power pop hitmakers, but everything they did is always in the BOSS STYLE. This here is collection of some favorite instro & vocal tunes from their 45’s & Lp’s + couple of rare demo trax. And remember… Dial M for Martians! I Am Your Radio. Dig!!!
