“There are a ton of Ramones clones out there (Raclones) and Carbonas is just another in a long line. They even seem to have taken their name from a Ramones song (“Carbona Not Glue”) and even their album cover apes the Ramones debut. To me, while the Ramones aesthetic is there, they sound almost exactly like another raclone, Mean Jeans (and yes, I know that these guys came out first). Which is a huge plus for me because I love both MJ and the Ramones. Carbonas are really good, they play poppy garage punk with nice hooks. If you like the aforementioned two bands, Nobunny, Jay Reatard, Bad Sports, etc…you will find something to like here.”
