THE SANDELLS – Scrambler! (1964)

Sandells 1a

The Sandells, also known as The Sandals, were 60’s surf rock band most famous for scoring the surfing documentary “The Endless Summer”. This is their debut 1964. Lp an all-instro surf/hot rod album, same stuff as “The Endless Summer” ’66 lp but with different cover art, alright! This slab was recorded at time when motorcycles themes were hip and The Astronauts recorded “Competition Coupe”, Gary Usher produced The Kickstands’ “Black Boots and Bikes”, Jerry Cole with The Hornets recorded “Motorcycles U.S.A.” and Brian Wilson penned Little Honda that became a national top 10 hit for The Hondells in late 1964. Stereophonic Vinyl rip, Dig!
