THE KINKS vs THE 13th FLOOR ELEVATORS vs KENNY AND THE KASUALS

Cool Intro riff for COME ON NOW, B-side of classic Kinks ’65 single Tired of… is a point of collision between these 60’s garage legends.
As you know, borrow & steal is a common practice in Rock’n’Roll history, so this is a luscious example of how “the same” instro theme can be used in three different tunes with terrific results.
KENNY AND THE KASUALS used it for their classic ’66 garage nugget Journey To Tyme, THE 13th FLOOR ELEVATORS psychedelizied it in great Tried to Hide. Come on now, Check it out!

THE 13th FLOOR ELEVATORS – The Psychedelic Sounds Of [Stereo] Vinyl Rip!!!

13th floor1

GROOVIE Surfadelic Vinyl Rip of this Texas 60’s garage/psych ultra-classic, from ’78 reissue on UK Radarscope Records. As you know there are tons of reissues out there but I thought it would be pretty interesting to hear this one, especially for Elevators fans. The sound on this version is ballsy raw ‘n’ louder than on CD reissues, so you better wach out! The Kingdom Of Heaven Is Within You… Dig!!!
