Two instrumental bands from Europe. The Astronauts was 90’s surf instro gang from Bielefeld, Germany and this is their ’94 Ep ”Rocket To Mars” in Astro-Mono sound. On the other side is a Spanish frat instrumental combo from Madrid formed in 2003. with two fine Eps. Already have posted some of this stuff but hey, here they are again. Dig!
“The Astronauts [from Boulder, Colorado] were an American rock and roll band, who had a minor hit in 1963 with “Baja” and remained successful for several years, especially in Japan. They have been described as being, “along with the Trashmen, the premier landlocked Midwestern surf group of the ’60s.” [wiki]
Damn! Another surfadelic comp… Well, I know you know but then again The Astronauts are one of the 60’s superfine surfin’ groups [my favs!], so they deserved supercool surfadelic treatement. This here is a collection of their classic 60’s instrumentals + some rare stuff, all in all 24 trax of a drippin’ reverberaton sounds. Hot-Doggin’, Movin’, Firewater, Surf Party, The Hearse… Wow! Just ask Boss Martians, The Untamed Youth, The Fathoms and bunch of other surf revival gangs where they get inspiration from. Hot-Doggin’ Dig!!!
Surf instro gang from Bielefeld, Germany, not the legendary 60’s US band. In mid 90’s they ”launched” these two LP slabs full of 60’s The Spotnicsks influenced sci-fi themed instros, played in the lo-fi style of The Phantom Surfers. So, ya know… Get lost… In Space!
Unfortunately this is not all-girl nude surf group [as you would like] but cool bootleg compilation of instros by legendary 60’s surfers THE ASTRONAUTS [already posted their stuff]. If you still don’t believe me [or don’t want to] you could dig it anyway. Dig!
