Almost perfect ’86 debut slab [on Voxx records] for these Portland, Oregon surf punkers. You should have know them from various garage/surf revival comps as Locked in to Surf, Takin’ Out the Trash, Mondo Drive-In, Hot Rods To Hell… I personally heard ’em first on a real cool Bomp rec. collection From L.A. With Love [posted on my old blog] with their Ramonesoid hit single Fun In The Summertime.
Their dynamic mix of 60’s inspired garage/surf revival instros & vocals and 70’s punk, influenced by such acts as Link Wray, The Ventures, Beach Boys & Ramones, will appeal to fans of The Barracudas, The Untamed Youth or early Boss Martians. Fav trax: She’s Too Good, Pete’s Mood [great instro], Monster Beach, Can’t Stand This Love, Goodbye [cool 60’s cover], Fun In The Summertime and Yeah! Almost Summer.
