Magic Fingers & Hourly Rates1

Here’s their 2nd Lp issued on New Rose + ’84 debut 7″. More ”Truck Stop Cow Punk-Rockabilly-Rhythm & Booze Rockers”. Mighty fine highway garage-billy originals and covers of Kip Tyler’s ”She’s My Witch”, Dale Hawkins “Little Pig” and The Stooges “1969”. Enjoy these predecessors to Girl Trouble and Deadbolt. You gotta respect the ”Rules Of The Road”. Don’t miss this, Dig!!!

[Special thanx to Mark for this Lp & 45]

TURBINES – Last Dance Before Highway + Bonus [1985/87 Rockabilly/Garage]

Turbines Last Dance Before Highway 1

”Just when I thought I was out…they pull me back in”

My oh my! When I thought I knew everything ’bout 80’s US underground rockin’ scene somethin’ jumps out of nowhere. Formed in Roxbury, Massachusetts, USA. in 1983. these bluesy highway garage-billy cats never hit the big time and quits after only two records. Their sound can be best described as similar to those of The Cramps, Girl Trouble or Deadbolt. As my friend Garner said ”Truck Stop Cow Punk-Rockabilly-Rhythm & Booze Rockers”. Well you got the picture. This here is a vinyl rip of their ’85 debut lp ”Last Dance Before Highway” + 6 cuts from ’87 ”Magic Fingers And Hourly Rates”. Check out some favs down there ‘n’ Dig!!!

[Special thanx to Garner from HiOctane Revival]
