Damn! Is that Lee Marvin point a gun at you? You’re in big trouble ’cause brand new Surfadelic comp is comin’ your way. This collection is dedicated [mostly] to the 60’s garage covers of famous hit and classic tunes of The Rolling Stones, Small Faces, Them, Yardbirds, Pretty Things, Hendrix, The Standells, Question Mark & the Mysterians, The Sonics, Eddie Cochran, Bo Diddley, Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Little Richard, Richard Berry, Eddie Floyd, Mose Allison…

Many of these songs are my all-time favs and ‘definitive versions’ like Downliners Sect rendition of ”I Wanna Put A Tiger In Your Tank” [Muddy Waters], The Roadrunners ”Lsd” [Pretty Things], legendary 60’s punkers Swamp Rats freak-out versions of ”Louie Louie” [Richard Berry] and ”Psycho” [The Sonics], The Hondells take on Jody Reynoldse ‘tenage tragedy’ song ”Endless Sleep”, The Litter legendary killer version of ”I’m A Man”,  Dutch 60’s punkerz The Tykes with frantic fuzzed-out cover of ”Let’s Dance” [Chris Montez], The Squires with one of the best versions of ”Gloria”, The Pupils over the top over-fuzzed (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, The Misunderstood ingenious take on ”I’m Not Talking”,  The Sonics great cover of ”Diddy Wah Diddy” [Bo Diddley] and even Tom ‘Welsh tiger’ Jones cover of Shocking Blue ”Venus”. There’s one real cute and funny kiddos Mexican singers cover of The Standells hit ”Sometimes Good Guys Don’t Wear White” and cool Mexican version of ”96 tears” by Las Moskas. Alltogether, it’s a virtual double disc set with 40 trax, most of ’em real killers! You better… Dig!!!
