THE CYBERMEN [80’s Garage Revival]

 

”Garage revival band from Cincinnati, Ohio. It sounds vaguely like the late 60s, but the tunes on THE CYBERMEN are really from 1988-90. I might just call it bubblegum-pop if it didn’t GROWL at you so loudly, with a power that puts them firmly in garage-rock territory. The closest thing their sound reminds me of is either early work by The Raiders or the current sound of Mondo Topless. This CD-EP collects all 5 songs from a pair of 7″ vinyl releases (both of which I had before getting this) as well as an additional, previously-unreleased track, the eerie, unearthly “Six Million Light Years Down”.
